Town and Country Lacrosse offers Girls 3rd-8th Grade the opportunity to play recreational lacrosse against other local lacrosse youth organizations in our area. Our priorities are to provide a safe, fun experience for players of all ability levels, beginner through advanced, and to teach lacrosse fundamentals, team play, and good sportsmanship. Team sizes are kept small to ensure that all players receive ample playing time in games.
The primary Lacrosse season is in the spring. Registration typically begins in mid-December. Teams generally start practices the second week in February with games running from March through early May. Most teams have two practices during the weekdays with games usually played on the weekends. Some of the older teams may have practices on Saturday prior to their first games. (No games or practices are held on Easter weekend). Home games are held at Town & Country while the remaining visiting games are held at other fields around Austin.
Town & Country Lacrosse is purely a volunteer organization made up of local Dads and Moms. From the Lacrosse Board members, to Coaches, to game day volunteers, parent involvement and assistance is needed and always welcomed. (For more information about volunteer positions, please see the “Volunteer Corner” on the T&C Lacrosse web site).
There are various Lacrosse clinics and camps held around the city during the summer. T&C Lacrosse also runs an 8 week fall league, and free clinics prior to opening registration and hopes to continue fall activities in the future.
Formats for the spring season for the various age groups are as follows:
